Five things in Japan

In Japan

5 is a magic number

So is 3

So is 7

I found five things on a Tokyo morning,

When I thought I had nothing.

Before dawn, outside a temple

I found the place from the scent of pine incense

I found the comb and the broken Italian chain in the little bag left on the street

From Buddha's Mercy.

I found the first wisteria had opened during the night

I found I was free of you.

When will things get back to normal?
