Szidonia Haragos is originally Hungarian-Romanian, and she holds a PhD in English
Literature from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She focuses on transnational narratives of migration and diaspora, gendered narratives of trauma and survival, and the material, cinematic, and literary representations of the post-traumatic self. Her work has appeared in, among others, a/b: Auto/Biography Studies; Life Writing; Biography: An Interdisciplinary Quarterly; Camera Obscura: Feminism, Culture, and Media Studies; Studies in
European Cinema; European Journal of Life Writing; and Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies, and it is forthcoming in the Muslim Women’s Popular Fiction edited collection at Manchester University Press.
